PFLAG’s new Executive Director.

We are seeking a seasoned Executive Director with exceptional fund development skills. Reporting to a 21-member Board of Directors, and overseeing a 12-person staff and $3 million annual operating budget, the ED will be responsible for setting PFLAG’s program priorities and operationalizing its strategic plan. The ED will be the lead fundraiser and primary spokesperson for the organization. The successful candidate will enhance programs to support PFLAG’s members and reach allies beyond its chapter network. The new ED will understand the complexities of leading a decentralized organization and will have experience managing a distributed workforce inclusive of union staff.

Critical requirements include at least seven years of executive leadership experience, preferably with a national nonprofit organization. This will include a track record of success cultivating, stewarding and soliciting corporate, foundation and individual gifts. The ideal candidate will be a servant leader with exceptional interpersonal skills.  PFLAG’s new ED will have prior experience with nonprofit finance including, managing budgets, cash flow, P&Ls, and audits; and will have knowledge of the history and public policy issues impacting LGBTQ individuals.
